I think I have identity myself with Japanese culture. My parents and school I went have helped me developed the sense of cultural identity. For example, in a Japanese family, children learned to respect elders and at Japanese school, harmony is consider more important than individual achievements. For these reasons, I think I have a sense of cultural identity.
Hi! I think people in Japan cannot see their cultual identity in objective side, they just listen from others. So it is good for you to see your cultual identity from objective side!

I agree that you do seem to understand the Japanese cultural identity. It doesn't mean that everyone follows it all the time, but it is certainly a part of who you are.
